Lawrence Christmas
Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful weekend. The Lawrence's gathered for the inlaw's Christmas celebration. I am very spoilt this year for the silly season as I will be lucky enough enjoy two Christmas feasts. What a perfect weekend, it just felt like Christmas day. Uncle Jack (LeLievre) was our honorary Santa this year handing out the pressie's with the help of Elf "Bessie". He has the jolly ol tummy for it and all. LOL. this is what this time of year is about. Family & being together.
2 Sleeps until the fat man in the red suit comes.....
the count down is on. 1 sleep until we pack up with our little girls heading for the good country "Nyrang" for Christmas celebrations. We will close our little store at 4pm & off we go. I am looking forward to being surrounded by my family. very sad that Maude & Bobby won't be home with us all as they are working, keeping the economy ticking over, we will catch up with them early in the new year (xx). After slogging it out in the shops yesterday I was very pleased to get home last night & kick my shoes off and say I am FINISHED the Christmas shopping. :). I have only got to grab some batteries otherwise. Note to self Batteries. imagine the faces if I forget. LOL!

Christmas Celebrations
This time of year you get a chance to catch up with old & new friends & take some time out to celebrate & relect on the year that was. In the crazy of life throughout the year you miss catching up with these special people, which is why I have made one of my new years resolutions is to catch up with all my dear friends more than what I have in 2010. Saturday night, one of my most favourite people in the world cooked me & my little family a christmas feast. It was BEAUTIFUL. We were very spoilt and enjoyed every minute of it. Merry Christmas little Imogen I hope that Santa bringings you all the treasures in the world for your first Christmas. x
School's almost out
Been up to school today for end of year awards. Congratulations to Little Maggie Mabel won an award for outstanding achievement in creativity & arts & recieved her gold award. Report cards came home end of last week & both Bessie Boo & Maggie Mabel has done exceptionally well. I am so proud of my little chic's. 2011 is bringing great things. Dave has his change in job which is really exciting, he celebrated at his Christmas party at the Union hotel on friday night. You know how you go office christmas party & you have a great time & the next day at work in the tea room you talk about someone that has celebrated that little too much, well Dave's your man this year. The whole 13 years we have been married I haven't seen such hilarous funny behaviour. We had a ball. Congratulations my best friend on getting your dream job.
Big Jack's 70th Birthday
Sunday would've been one of my most favourite days of 2010. My dear uncle "big Jack" turned 70. The day was filled with lots of celebration, love & laughter shared with other aunty's, uncles, cousins, 1st cousins, 2nd cousins, cousins once & twice removed, lots of family friends, old school friends & work collegues of big Jack's. It was a perfect day. Happy Birthday Big Jack you have been such a large part of my life & I can't wait to share the years ahead with you. x

Melton Family Farm Direct Meats
Congratulations to Anthony, Margie & Family for starting this new adventure. How fantastic to be able to order fresh QUALITY meat direct from the farm. I was having a little play around with this website & not only was it really easy to use & had heaps of info, I was able to find some fantastic packages to suit my little family and most of all GREAT price. Very competitive. Being from a farming background myself I have been able to appreciate fresh meat straight from the paddock. Don't know about you but I can certainly taste the difference. Not only can you have it delivered to your door but you can pop along to the Farmers Markets (list on the website) & check the product out first hand.

Up for grabs
It has been two weeks since our initial anouncement that we are selling the Nursery Fairy and making a much needed lifestyle change. Initially I have felt like I have lost someone who has been such a huge part of my life & I was right. It has been years since Dave, Mick & I decorated little Bella's nursery & our first talks about creating The Nursery Fairy. 3 years online & 2 years in the store and I am so happy with our decision to move on. Not a huge timeline in business I know. I have been given the gift of three beautiful little girls who are growing up so quickly & i need to see that happen & be more of apart of their lives. Not to mention that Dave has a career change coming in the near future on way or another Along with a few other challenges & positives happening in our lives.
I asked my very supportive husband "when was it that you realised that life isn't all about you anymore?" his reponse was "when I won the premiership in Footy & retired from the game from then" ..... I thought about that for a moment, what was happening in our lives then.... the pending birth of our third miricle, our eldest little girl off to school & relocating back to Wagga, his work changing & this was beginning the rest of our lives for him and this moment is the beginning for me.
I have been fortunate enough to have been able to create something so beautiful, live my dream & ride the wave of ups & downs in small business today. I have loved every minute of it. It is time to step back & let someone else take NFHQ to the next level & maybe take on some of the dreams I had for this place. I have had mixed reponse from people, some positives "I am really pleased that you have made that decision", "you won't regret it", "god, don't know how you have done it for this long" "can't wait to see more of you".... some negative "isn't it a shame that it didn't work" being the most common and "you will regret it" . I really appreciate them all. When you decide to do something like this you do factor in what peoples reactions will be & how that will make you feel. One thing I have learnt from the past is that you can't & have no control over what people will say you can only choose which bits you take onboard. In life people will always say things to make you feel good or themselves feel good.
What is around the corner, most asked question over the past two weeks "what are you going to do now?" first thing, have a really long shower & shave my legs properely!

Muddi Boutique Markets
What a fantastic day on Saturday at the Markets. Reports say that over 4000 people made their way through the gates for the Muddi handmade experience. Congrats to all store holders. Some amazing goodies on offer. I must say I dipped into the tin to buy a couple of beautiful creations. The winners on the day were Country Hope, raising $2000 for their charity. FANTASTIC! At the Country Hope stand were these amazing stubby holder shoots, that fix to your wall (near the bbq or bar??) & hold all your stubby holders (obviously). They are made by a local guy who donates them to Country Hope to sell & keep the sale proceeds. They come in all different colours & footy teams themes. These are on my hit list for Dad & Dave this year at $25 each, cracker of an idea to get stubby holders out of your cupboards & drawers. You can contact Country Hope to place an order today.
Next markets date is set for Saturday 13th of November, 9am - 2pm. Stall holders are already booking their place so if you are creative & need a stall contact Muddi Boutique Markets now to secure your space. Congrats Sari & the team.

First swim of the season
Can't believe how weird the weather is at the moment. One minute we have the heater booming & the next in the pool cooling off. CRAZY!
Spent the afternoon by the pool yesterday, kids loved it! Beautiful weather. Short lived unfortunately according to Elder's Wagga website the next couple of nights it is going down back down to five degrees, brrrrr!
Three Sleeps to go....

Happy Birthday Bessie
Double Digits for Bessie. Happy Birthday beautiful girl. On Bessie's birthday we past the day saying "this time 10 years ago you where..." or "this is what was happening....". Can't tell you where that time has gone. Celebrating with great friends & family she hosted a Minute -to-win it party. Lots of laughs were had on the day. FUN! I think I am the luckiest mummy in the world to have such a lovely natured, kind, caring, charisma confident, mindful, thoughtful, stunning little girl. You bring so much happiness to our lives & give so much love Bess.

Over for another year
The cold frosty saturday morning games of netball are finished for another year. Turning up when you haven't quite thawed out, coffee in one hand, the team list with the playing positions written on a shopping docket you found in the bottom of your handbag & the top part of your arms are quickly covering itself with jackets & trackies from the child that is playing the game, so you look like a clothesline, the frost crunching under your feet & a good grey headed samaritan is yelling at you that "you've left your lights on dear" little does he realise they will automatically turn off themselves, but you give him a nice wave thanking him from the hand that has the docket in it so you don't spill that precious & sanity saving coffee as you are telling the kids to hurry as we are running late for our game. Can you relate? Parents do it week after week because we love it. I know I wouldn't have it anyother way. Well done to Bessie Boo who played her little heart out & to our team support Maggie & Elsie for cheering your big sister every week. Our supercoach has done a fantastic job with our little team. Thank you Alex.

Melbourne on the weekend
Took a trip to Melbourne to see all the new & exciting things for our little store. One really beautiful little brand coming soon is Golly Gosh. Congratulations to the team, absolutely beautiful little bits & bots. We have a brochure in store if you would like to see this new & exciting range.
Look what we made...
Trent Barrett Sheild.....
Superstars in the making. Thanks to Fairy Trina for holding the fort, I was able to attend the Trent Barrett Sheild Day to see my little chicken & her beautiful cousin play their little hearts out in Austag. What a day the weather started out a little fresh & us taking along our jackets, to a typical Wagga winters day cold & wet. But nothing was going to drag me away. I haven't watched a game of tag for a very long time & I must admit I was captivated. What a great game. I couldn't talk to Grandma or Dave on the phone when they called just in case I missed something. Bess played in a different division to her cousin Chelsea. Our little team played so well & I was very proud of all of them. Chelsea's team went onto to playing in the finals which was a huge effort. Good on you "Gracie". The day was very organised & very well run by the boys from the NRL Development Team & mad the day such a success. Thank you to all the teachers & parents who also organised our teams & supported our little champions.

what a fantastic weekend we had.....
On the weekend we whipped down to Disney On Ice. Saturday the road trip started, Grandma (mum), Bess, Mag, Elle & myself headed off on the road to Sydney. Arrived just in time in Parramatta to jump on a river cat & head to Circular Quay. What a ride & view of the harbour. We have such a beautiful city, no matter how many times you see if you never get tired of it, the harbour makes me feel very patriotic & providential. Love it! Our over night home was great. eating pizza & fizz then time for a quick swim before bed. Early start into Acera Arena where we met up with one of Maggie's friends from school who has relocated from Wagga. Grabbed some great pics of the girls, & watched a fantastic show. This was Elsie's first time to Disney on Ice, nothing can describe the excitement that comes over their little faces when they see Mickey & the gang the first time. I must admit it brings a certain feeling that chokes the throat & makes the eyes water a little in a mum. They loved it! After the show we dropped along to Macca's for a quick bite & to spend time with our friends then on the road again.... there's a song about that isn't there. LOL. The road ahead was very weary. Mum beside me in the car catching flies, girls in the back with their heads together in a very similar pose I zoomed down the highway to home. What a great ending to a very hectic school holidays.

Crazy times.....
What a crazy cracker time of the year. The shortest day of the year has past. This for me is huge, I now know that I am counting down days to warmer weather, don't like winter at all. The end of the financial year is over which is fabulous, stocktake has been completed and only a little bit of paperwork to do. School holidays start tomorrow - Yipeeeeeee. Where did the time go. I hope the rest of the year slows down a little as I need to hop off the merri-go-round to catch my breath.
Some exciting news. I have purchased myself a new camera to take better shots of all our lovely products and reload on our website. The Canon EOS 550D is the newest member of The Nursery Fairy team. I have been dying for one of these babies for years. Thank you to Syke from Skye Rocket Studio's on all the great advice before making the purchase.
I have sent in my nomination form in for the up & coming AusMumprenuer awards. I have been having a few technical issues this week with my emails getting stuck in my outbox and messages being sent over and over and over and over again. So I think they received all my bits n peices a few times - oops!!!! So thank you again to whoever nominated, I am truely grateful & overwhelmed. If my nomination does go any further it doesn't matter I appreciate getting this far. I have enjoyed being connected up to Connect2mums and look forward to making more friendships in the future.
Late night shopping tonight, cold outside, sitting by my little heater just about to start clicking a few pics. So stay warm out there.
I hope that you too are able to catch your breath over the school holidays and enjoy the time with your families.

Fun at the farm....
Crackers, sparklers, bonfires, melting marshmellows, making tire swings, adventures on the rocks, chasing the cows, checking the crops, riding in old trucks, cheering on the local footy team, riding on the motorbike in Grandmas garden, feeding the chooks, catching up with cousins & friends & talking all night, cup of tea & cooked breakfast.
We didn't want the time to end, just want to move in & stay forever.
June Longweekend
I just love this weekend. Half the year is over already and has happened before you've noticed, nice weather isn't that far away, and you get to catch your breath & enjoy some time with your family. We spent our time out on my parents farm "Nyrang". This is my sanctuary, my home, my retreat. This is my cure for chaos. My Mum & Dad put perspective back into my life. Thanks for having us Grandma & Grandpa.

Shoplifting.......
I have just experienced the first product being shop lifted from my little store.
I have just googled "shoplifting" and found the following headings: "the art of shoplifting", "shoplifting tips", "shoplifting games" for heavens sake are you serious.
One definition of Shoplifting is "the act of stealing goods that are on display in a store".
Stealing definition is " the act of taking something of someone unlawfully"
Unlawfully is "no conforming to the law"
What is it with people thinking that shoplifiting is okay and that they are above the law.
What about guilt "the state of having committed an offense". What about shame "a painful emotion caused by a strong sense of guilt, embarrasment, unworthiness, or disgrace".
The next time you shoplifters out there walk into a shop I hope that you stop & think about these definitions, really think about it and go to bed with a mirror and wake up to yourself.

Nomination
I have been a little overwhelmed and very excited about receiving a nomination from Connect2Mums AusMumpreneur Awards 2010. I have no idea how this happened, but i am VERY grateful and humble. I just love doing what I am doing.
When you are acknowledged like this I have started looking back on the past 18 months or so. The things that make me what I am today are all the highs & the lows of my journey, the mothers guilt attached to everyday I am away from my little chickens makes me a better mum when we are together, & constantly being inspired by other very talented Mums.
The things I appreciated & will never take for granted are the unconditional love from my girls, the never ending support from my husband who has stood beside me & held me up when i needed him. My family & friendships old new. The deal is I wouldn't be here without them all.

1st Birthday report
We had a lovely day on Saturday. A huge thank you to all that popped along to wish us well. I would also like to thank all the well wishes from everyone on our website and facebook pages. i really appreciate everyones support. The Shop is 1 year old. Where did that time go. The celebrations started through the week with our radio interview. Did you know that "sausage sandwiches on a cold morning will warm the cockles of your heart"? I said that in the interview.... yes I did, what was I thinking. I am still laughing about it today.
I would like to thank Country Hope for holding there fundraiser BBQ out the front on Saturday. It was so great to have these guys involved in our day. They are a local trust that provides family centred support to country children diagnosed with Cancer or other life threatening illness. I haven't had to use the organisation personally but I know of families that have. I feel that the work that these guys do is second to none and throw my full support behind them. If you would like to donate or find out more about them, check out there website on the link above.
Last but not least a huge thank to the very special people in my life for sharing the ride of the past 12 months. x

Birthday's
This Saturday i am turning the big 36. EEK! Over the past couple of days I have had a chance to reflect the years that have past me by. Some times have been absolute crackers that you remember for a lifetime and some have been not so good that you still remember for a lifetime. I see these not so good times as being character building and make you the person you are today and the one you don't want to be tomorrow. Live & Learn. I will walk with pride, hold love & happiness in my heart, cry tears of joy and laugh as much as I can in the year to come.
